1. Demise of Mrs Kamau’s Daughter
With sorrow, we wish to inform you of the demise of the precious little girl, daughter of Mrs Kamau Esther- the APLESA President 2013-2017 whose life was cut short by a tragic road accident. This Angel has joined the rest of the angels in heaven.
The APLESA Executive and the entire APLESA fraternity condoles with Madam Esther and do pray that the Almighty God consoles and strengthens you and the family during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace
2. Demise of Mr. Willard Kazembe
The Executive Committee of APLESA today woke up with the tragic news of the death of Mr. Kazember Willard; Head of Library and Research Services of the National Assembly of Malawi. In her own words, Ms Velia Manyonga, the Research Officer at the National Assembly of Malawi sent the following announcement;
“It is with great sadness to communicate that Mr. Kazembe has passed on this morning [15th Sept 2017] . He fell sick a week after we came back.”
He had just come back from the 83rd IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) and those of us the APLESA members met him in Poland during that congress.
May his soul rest in peace
